Aishwarya Isha is an Architect with a Master’s Degree focused in Architecture and now a full-time Research Scholar in the Laboratory of Inclusive Design, IIT Roorkee. While working in the field, she realised her true passion lies in research and decided to pursue PhD after four years of industrial experience. She is curious to learn about Human-Centric design at the built environment scale, focusing on Social Inclusion, Sustainable Mobility Infrastructure and Universal Design. Her PhD research focuses on making public spaces inclusive, safer and welcoming for women in India. Being part of LID, she has contributed as a co-author for the Harmonised Guidelines & Standards for Universal Accessibility In India 2021. She is inclined towards making our built environment easy to use and accessible for all.
