Yamuna is an Architect and a passionate photographer. She did her bachelor's and master's in Architecture from renowned institutes National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut) in 2013 and Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology Ahmedabad (CEPT) 2016, respectively. During this time, she developed her passion for Photography by trying various genres like portraiture, street and landscape.

She was an assistant professor in various colleges in Tamil Nadu and Kerala till mid-2021. She was simultaneously practising her passion for Photography by being a professional photographer who was majorly consulted for portraiture and wedding.

She started her journey into Architectural Photography when she was working as an academician and was researching and learning about Architectural Photography through books and journals for her classes. In 2021, she was given her first projects documenting Architecture by studio practices like CSBNE, StudioAranya and Foliage Architecture.

In 2022 she quit her PhD in Architecture from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Roorkee) to pursue a full-time career in Photography. She joined Sreenag Pictures in Chennai for an Internship in Architectural Photography and started her practice.
