ICTs for Accessible and Inclusive Urban Development

Massive Open Online Course (MOOC)

Backed by a multidisciplinary understanding of accessibility and inclusion as a core theme, this course discusses the role of ICT and other technologies in inclusive urban development. The intent of this course is to serve as a rooted package of learning for the diverse urban stakeholders playing a crucial role in the implementation of urban inclusion for all.

This MOOC will help one better understand the role of technology in making cities more inclusive for people with disabilities and other diverse needs. We will understand the fundamental concepts of inclusion and accessibility, leading into the needs and barriers faced by persons with disabilities and other diverse needs in the context of Indian cities. We would then understand technology as an enabler and understand its role in urban development across various sectors including information & communication, infrastructure, mobility and services.
